Glass Hearts

Spring is finally here! How am I doing? I’m aiight. Recovering from a week-long cold, actually! It set me back quite a bit, but I’m trying to get my bearings in check! Wrist is still being the way it is and I’m terrible with keeping up exercise habits, so I sorta…slacked off. But I’m going to try and work on that! (I hope, lol.)

As you know, chapter 5 is done. This month will be filled with ✿ FUN ✿ extra Volume 1 content, and one or two things that’ll set you up for the next volume!

Speaking of next volume, do I have any hints? Not really. Just giving focus to more of the cast before we really get going in volume 3. Of course I said “introducing stuff” for volume 1 too, and we got some drama towards the end! So if you think that ride’s over, I got some bad news for you. Wink wonk wink.

Also speaking of next month, MAY 12TH IS THE ANNIVERSARY! NINE YEARS! Isn’t that crazy? There’ll be a special print and digital wallpapers, as usual. I’m going to try and put more of an effort to make use of the other cool things that Society 6 has available as well. So look forward to that as well!

Long time no news post, eh? You know what else has been too long: that chapter 2 theme overstaying its welcome. So out with the old, in with the new! You may notice the logo not being outside of…well everything else, as it usually was. That’s because WordPress and the theme I’m using aren’t liking each other. The creator is making a fix for this (hopefully) – I do know there’ll be an update “soon”. So cross your fingers that the fix I want will happen! I’ll try to wait patiently.

But more importantly, you must be wondering about my wrist. It’s been slowly recovering. There is still pain if I do too much drawing or stuff-other-than-drawing without a break, but it’s not the most unbearable thing on Earth. And when I stopped taking pain pills, the pain didn’t increase – which totally sounds like a good sign to me! But yeah, not sure when I’ll be fully rid of this tendonitis. I’ll keep y’all posted incrementally.

If you didn’t know: Inkblazers will be shutting down next month. I am just as shocked as everyone else about it. (The news post was the day AFTER my birthday – what is this?) So the new mirror will be at Taptastic, which is up to date with this site. It’ll update once a week on Saturdays. So uh, if you wanna check that out: http://www.taptastic.com/glasshearts There are a number of features on that site I’m not fond of (page limits on chapters, double-page spreads not being supported well, etc), so it’s…certainly strictly a mirror to gather more readers. It almost makes me consider going back to using Smackjeeves for a mirror, haha!

I did start on chapter 7, but a number of other projects have been vying for my attention. I am doing something either temporary or will last longer: prints for Vinesauce! What is Vinesauce? A video game streaming team! And more technically, the team “captain”, if you will, is known as Vinesauce. If you want to support me and him and get a RADICAL COOL PRINT, check out the shop! The more people buy, the more chances there’ll be more prints! The other thing I’ve been contributing to is VineRPG, which is a fan-RPG game based on Vinesauce (do you see a trend here?). If you have Windows, you should check out the demo and leave some feedback on that page I linked. I recently helped my sister with a job she had as well. Balancing all of that and helping out around the house and giving my wrist needed breaks…you can see where this is going, haha! I did draw establishing backgrounds for the entire chapter, so that’s one big thing I don’t need to fret over too much. I’ll probably do that from now on. But yeah, soon! I want to start inking soon! Either before or during, I do want to make a new spiffy (promo) illustration. It’ll probably be a print too. Stay tuned for that.

But yeah! Things are still moving. Albeit at a way slower pace than I’d like, but still chugging along.
