Not sure sure how to title this news post, haha.
Earlier this month I was working on chapter 6. My wrist started to hurt and figured it was the usual fatigue and worked through it. But then it persisted and I realized it had to be more than that. So I rested it, put some ice/hot cream on, iced it, pain meds, etc. When all of that didn’t work for roughly a week and a half, I went to the doctor. I got a prescription, which I’m waiting on a refill for. And I’m taking higher than the printed dosage of the aforementioned pain meds.
I was pretty dumb and drew a couple of times after said appointment. This week I realized that I definitely had to stop that. It’s been two days since I last drew. Sometimes I feel like it’s getting better and then other times (like tonight), it doesn’t feel that way. So at the present, I don’t know how long it’s going to take.
Which is why I am typing this now. I have spread out the last 3 pages of the chapter to 3 weeks. (Including this week.) I’ve been feeling a lot of pressure from the original schedule, considering I haven’t drawn the chapter 3 4komas yet. And I haven’t scheduled the pages for chapter 4. And I haven’t done any adverts yet. So yeah. I’m aiming on not drawing or writing for however many weeks it takes. I do want to get back into it within September (or I’ll go insane).
I don’t want to go as far as taking a hiatus. At the very least I will schedule chapter 4 and not have any adverts for whatever updates happen and my wrist isn’t feeling up to par.
I’m really really sorry about this, I really am. This has been among one of the most mentally taxing things I’ve gone through in my life. Drawing and writing are everything to me, and they’ve been a constant in my life. So please bear with me for (hopefully not) a while. Believe me: when wrist is not in pain, I will let y’all know in another news post.
